PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

All students must be registered and cleared prior to each sports season.  The student's parent/guardian will be notified when the student has been cleared by the athletic office.

STEPS TO REGISTER:

1. GET A PHYSICAL

A physical is REQUIRED for athletes in grades 6th, 7th, & 8th.  It is optional for all other grades (TK - 5th).  Either way, when you get to the step where you need to upload the physical, you must upload something, as it applies to your student: a signed physical for grades 6-8 or a signed waiver for grades TK-5th.

Visit your medical doctor to get a yearly sports physical - also called a pre-participation physical examination (PPE).  A PPE helps to assure that the athlete is healthy and physically ready to participate in the activity.  The purpose is to help minimize the risk of injury while your student plays.

(Physical may NOT be filled out by a Chiropractor.)

The medical eligibility form (signed by your health care professional) must be uploaded in the next step ... online Registration

2. REGISTRATION

Click here for step-by-step instructions, or follow along below:

Parents/guardians please visit: https://athleticclearance.com/ to register your athlete.  All required areas need to be filled out in its entirety to be accepted.

Please note the registration process must be completed by the parent or legal guardian of the student; when you complete the application you will need to print the confirmation page and go back into the application to upload this confirmation/signature page so we can verify.

First you will need to either create a new account or log in to your existing Homecampus account.

Then in the top right hand corner of the screen click START CLEARANCE HERE.

Select SCHOOL: "Gold Trail School"

If your athlete attends Sutter's Mill, you still want to select SCHOOL:  "Gold Trail School"

Choose the school year and sport.  This step is also where you can select ADD NEW SPORT if your student participates in more than one.

REGISTRATION FORM TIPS:

  • As you are completing the athlete's information, if you leave a field intentionally blank, you must click on the "NA" button.  Otherwise you will not be able to continue.
  • "Graduation Year" is required by the system.  GTUSD does not need to know graduation year.  Choose any date, it won't matter to us!
  • "Student Email" is required by the system.  Although GTUSD does not need to know your student's email (we already have it), you will have to populate the field with something.  Yes, you can use your own email.  However, since the field must have a unique student email, you can only do this for one athlete (in case you have more than one athlete).
  • Don't know your student's email?  In your Aeries Parent Account, under the Student Info tab -> Demographics, you will find your student's email.

Call the school office with any questions.

It is our goal to offer experiences beyond the textbook for our students, such as a sports program that is engaging, exciting and brings learning to life.  In order to make this happen, we need your support and are requesting a donation to help make after-school sports possible.  Donations go directly towards the cost of transportation, equipment, uniforms, officials, and coaching staff.

Optional forms of payment are online through the athlete registration process or by submitting a check to your school’s office. (All checks should be made payable to GTUSD.)
