Class Assignments

Monday March 30-  Welcome back to Math; Monday is review day! See my Math Google Classroom for the link to the daily review. 

Tuesday-  Lesson Day! Today is lesson 9.2. Tune in at 9am to a google Meet for a live lesson presented by Ms. Canfield. OR you can learn the text lesson 9.2 on pages 398-399 by carefully reading each example. Do exercises #1,5,7,9,11, 15 and 17 on text page 400-401. Meet link will be posted in my google classroom 10 minutes prior to the lesson.

Wednesday- Kahoot Challenge! It’s a Kahoot! But Kahoot Challenge means you can do it when you want, at your own pace! The Game PIN number will be posted on Wednesday morning by 8am. The content of the Kahoot will be mixed review and lesson 9.2.

Thursday- Drop in Tutoring! It’s MunchNMath, home version! My cat will be loitering around my keyboard, so Thursday's tutoring office hours includes ‘Show off your pet;’ be prepared to display your pet!  Today’s Assignment is Text page 400 #4,6,8,10. MunchNMath hours are 9-10:00am only. Email or Dojo me anytime with questions though.

Friday- Sumdog Quiz, and Sumdog Competition with friends. Play anytime, but I’m encouraging 6th grade students to play online together from 9-10am.

Monday March 23- Answer the essential question posed in new Chapter 9 RAP packet pages 199-200 . OR you can answer the same essential question which is posed in your textbook on pages 390-391. Complete Activity 1 and Activity 2.

Tuesday- Read and learn lesson 9.1 in your text on pages 392-393. Do exercises #1,5,7,9,11 on page 394.

Wednesday- Do exercises #13, 15,17 on page 394

Thursday- Answer the essential question posed on text page 397, or on pages 203-204 in your RAP packet. Complete at least activity # 1,2.

Friday- Sumdog Quiz!

Lessons March 17-20

Monday- Staff meetings and preparing materials, no lesson. For extra math stuff, play sumdog!

Tuesday- Students should read lesson 6.5 in their textbook on pages 276, 277 and 278. After reading it, do exercises #4-17 and # 25-30 on text page 279. Extra credit: Do # 47-53 on page 281. For extra help, rewatch the math antics video we watched in class last Thursday or watch the first BigIdeas math videos for this lesson at  BigIdeasMathVideo Ch 6.5. Want more video tutorials that are connected to this lesson? Navigate to bigideasmathvideos.com, select Common Core Middle School 2017, then select the lesson you are working on, perhaps the next video called Chapter 6, section 6.5, Example 2. Wednesday- Prepare for the Chapter 6 Final test; do Chapter Review text pages 285-287, #1-27.

Friday March 13. Pi Day. Explore the formula of Pi (3.14159) Watch a video online about the value of Pi. Use a string and ruler to measure 3 objects and find the circumference or diameter using the Pi formula.
