Mrs. Biggs' Classroom

 

Welcome to Mrs. Biggs' 6th and 7th grade English & Language Arts Class.

 

I am so very excited to be your teacher! Not only do I teach 6th and 7th grade ELA, I also teach the drama elective class. This year is going to be super awesome! It is my mission to ensure every single student walks away from my class feeling valued, loved, and filled with excitement about learning.  I am looking forward to a great year!!  

 

 


Motivation and Incentives

I am a firm believer in positive reinforcement. It is my belief that all students will be successful with the right motivation. Intrinsic motivation will be utilized every single day.  Also, students have the opportunity to receive acknowledgement for individual participation and exceptional positive behavior with tickets. Tickets will be placed in a classroom jar and at the end of the week, I will choose one ticket from the jar and that student will receive a prize. The tickets that aren’t chosen will be placed in the “Biggs Draw” and once a month one ticket from each classroom will be chosen. Those students will earn a “Bigg Prize.”

 

Students can earn: treats, prizes, points, and advantages for their class.

You shouldn't be doing it!


Your Grade

Your overall class grade is based on the the total points of each assignment. The value of each assignment will be listed in Google Classroom.
